Tower module
The technical and frame structure of the tower is modular and developed as a series product with a capacity of 6, 8, 12 or 20 bikes per unit. Tailor-made large-scale systems are possible, depending on the location. The prerequisite is a solid foundation (usually a concrete slab foundation) with a depth of 80 cm, in order to meet the requirements for statics and frost protection. An area of only 4.5m2 is required for each standard tower.
Digital platform
The V-Locker is more than just a covered bicycle park. At its heart is a digital network, which not only opens the physical door, but also provides the connection for smart city and digital mobility concepts. Using an app, the nearest tower with free capacity is displayed, the box is reserved by the user and the access door is opened on arrival. The check-in and check-out only takes a few seconds and prevents waiting times. Regional or national access systems (SwissPass etc.), can also be used via interfaces.
Design
Whether urban planners, commuters, residents or tourists: the design makes an impression. That is why the tower’s concept is sophisticated not only in terms of functionality but also in terms of design. The outside of the towers can be clad with any material and colour, and can have a wood, metal or glass look, with photovoltaic elements or greenery. The V-Locker blends into its surroundings and contributes to the enhancement of the cityscape at all times.
Electricity
A conventional 230 V and 16 A electrical connection is sufficient for operating the bicycle tower. A solar façade for self-sufficient energy supply is possible and charging e-bikes with solar electricity, while they are parked, is also an option.
Operating concept
The bike tower does not require any personnel supervision. The responsibility for cleaning work lies with the operator. Regular maintenance and service work is carried out by a local partners and these costs are specified in a maintenance contract. We would be happy to assist you in developing an operating concept.
