What is V-Locker?
V-Locker is a unique bicycle/e-bike parking system. The new form of parking offers absolutely safe boxes (lockers) including storage compartment for accessories and luggage with maximum comfort. The system is operated exclusively via the V-Locker APP.
Where can I get the V-Locker app?
Search for "V-Locker App" in the mobile app store or go to https://www.v-locker.ch/app. The app is free.
How do I use V-Locker without an app?
You can't use V-Locker without the app.
There is no tower close to me! How can I wish for a tower?
In the app, you can wish for a V-Locker by going into the map mode "Search for a V-Locker" and tapping on the small building icon at the bottom left of the screen.
Why do I have to pay to use V-Locker?
V-Locker offers bicycle parking boxes with unique additional services. The boxes are theft-proof. In addition, they have a storage compartment for helmet, rain cover and luggage. V-Locker is a novel service that encourages more people to use their bikes and improves order and safety in public spaces. The construction and operation of this infrastructure is associated with costs.
Is there a charge for a V-Locker account?
No. You only pay for the time in which you actually occupy the box of the V-Locker parking facility.
Do I need to deposit money/have a balance in my V-Locker account to use it?
No. At the end of each booking you can choose the payment method you want to use.
Why do I need to add a payment method before I start my first booking?
For security reasons, a payment method must be stored before you start a new booking.
What payment methods are available?
Currently you can choose between credit cards (Master, Visa, Amex, etc.), Twint, PayPal and GiroPay. GiroPay is only accepted in Germany and requires a minimum amount of € 1.00 for booking.
Are my credit card details secure?
Yes. V-Locker does not affect your payment details. We work with third-party payment providers who are subject to the strictest security standards in the financial industry. V-Locker cannot view your payment method information (such as your credit card number or PayPal credentials). We only exchange transaction information with the payment provider. Why do I need to verify my phone number and email?
For security reasons, we must ensure that each login can be uniquely assigned to a person. Phone numbers and emails help us verify this.
How do I know how much I have to pay at the end of my booking?
Since we don't know when you'll finish your booking, we can't tell you how much you'll pay for it. However, the app shows the elapsed time of a booking and the current costs at any time. You can also calculate the costs, as the information about the costs is displayed before the start of the booking.
Can I reserve a box in advance?
No, but you can book them anytime and from anywhere. This is, in a sense, a reservation that you pay for.
Does my bike fit into a V-Locker?
V-Locker boxes cannot accommodate custom bikes. Please check the name of the respective facility to make sure that you can park your bike with us. The maximum load weight is 50 kg per box.

The app is not working properly! What to do?
Our teams are constantly working to find and eliminate errors. If you find something that doesn't work, please let us know by emailing support@v-locker.ch. We will then fix the problem as soon as possible. As with everything that has to do with computers, please try to restart the app, that always helps...
I have a suggestion for a new feature, who can I contact?
Thank you very much therefore! We would like to implement things that our users want! We have a long roadmap with features we think you'll like, but maybe there's something we haven't thought of yet. Please send us your suggestion by e-mail to support@v-locker.ch
What is the release of a box?
By sharing a box, you can give another V-Locker user access to your box. With it, you can rent your bike to someone or allow them to deposit something in the box or pick something up from the box. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for what happens in the box when you share it. Don't share a box with strangers!
I want to open the tower and the doors don't respond!
Close the booking and the app, restart the app and call up the corresponding booking. Tap «Open». If that doesn't help, call the hotline number 00800 8600 0068 and we'll help you.
I want to close the tower and the doors don't respond!
Make sure that your bike and luggage are properly stowed in the V-Locker box and that nothing protrudes out, otherwise it cannot be closed. Make sure that no other object blocks the door or prevents it from closing. Find out how heavy your bike and all your luggage are. A maximum of 50 kg is allowed. If the bike is heavier, the system will be blocked for safety reasons. Finish the booking and the app, restart the app and go to the corresponding booking. Tap «Open». If that doesn't help, call the hotline number 00800 8600 0068 and we'll help you.
Is V-Locker also available in my area/city?
Call up the map in the app and check the latest locations, you can also use the "Want V-Locker" function by tapping on the building in the lower right corner of the map screen and telling us your desired location.
How do I select the desired V-Locker at my destination?
After starting the app, you will receive a map view with V-Locker systems in the area. By tapping you can select the desired location. Alternatively, you can enter the desired destination or use the list view to find the nearest attachments.
How long can I use the bike box?
There is no maximum duration for parking, but there are costs. We will remind you if we think a booking is open longer than necessary.
I emptied my box but forgot something and want to open it again. What can I do?
In the app, tap the corresponding booking and open it again. Then make sure you have removed everything and close the box. After you have closed it, you can tap on «End booking» to complete it and pay the costs.
I cancelled my booking by mistake! / I forgot something in the box and already cancelled my booking! What should I do?
Then call the hotline on 00800 8600 0068 and we will help you.
I dropped an item in the gap between the V-Box and the construction, what can I do?
Dial our support number: 00800 8600 0068 or email us at support@v-locker.ch and let us know:
- What you lost
- Location and number of the plant
- Time slot of booking / use of the facility
- Your contact address
My credit card/payment method is not working and I cannot cancel the booking. What can I do?
Double-check the number and all details of your account/card number. If this does not help, please try another payment method (please note that GiroPay only works from an invoice amount of € 1.00). If nothing else works, please notify support and we will help you.
