Newsletter

Dispatch by MailChimp
We use the component MailChimp to send our newsletter. MailChimp is a service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA. The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with the European data protection level (link to the Privacy Shield Agreement).

Your data stored when you register for the newsletter (e-mail address, name, IP address, date and time of your registration, if applicable) are transmitted to a server of The Rocket Science Group, in the USA, and stored there. The shipping service provider may use your data in pseudonymous form to optimize or improve its own services.

The shipping service provider is used on the basis of our legitimate interests in secure and efficient e-mail dispatch (see Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and a contract for processing orders (see Art. 28 para. 3 sentence 1 GDPR). For more information about privacy at The Rocket Science Group in regards to MailChimp, please visit: http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

You can revoke your subscription to our newsletter, and thus your consent to the storage and transmission of your data to The Rocket Science Group, at any time for the future.

Newsletter tracking
Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels (web bugs), which enable us to recognize whether and when an e-mail was opened and which links, in the e-mail, were followed by the personalized recipient. This data is stored by us, so that we can tailor our newsletters optimally, to the wishes and interests of our subscribers. Accordingly, the data collected this way can be used to send personalised newsletters to the respective recipient.

The measurement of success and the associated data processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). The given consent can be revoked at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter, e.g. via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter or by sending an e-mail to info@v-locker.ch. If you withdraw your consent, you will no longer receive the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations, already carried out, shall not be affected by the revocation.

Cancellation
You can cancel the newsletter at any time and, at the same time, revoke your consent to its dispatch via MailChimp and to statistical analyses. You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.

With whom we share your data

Google Maps

On our website, we use Google Maps (API) from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Maps is a web service for the display of interactive (geographic) maps, to visually present geographical information. By using this service, our location will be displayed to you and a possible visit will be made easier. When calling up those sub-pages, in which the map from Google Maps is integrated, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is then transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. This happens regardless of whether Google provides a user account, through which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your information is directly associated with your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as a user profile and evaluates it. In particular, such an evaluation is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit.f GDPR on the basis of Google’s legitimate interests in the display of personalised advertising, market research and/or needs-based design of its website. You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles, although you must contact Google to exercise this right. Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU. If you do not agree with the future transmission of your data to Google, in the context of the use of Google Maps, there is also the possibility of completely deactivating the web service of Google Maps by switching off the application JavaScript in your browser. Google Maps and thus, the map display on this website, can then no longer be used. You can view Google’s terms of use here. The additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found here.

How long we store your data

If you write a comment, it will be saved including metadata for an unlimited amount of time. This way, we can automatically detect and release follow-up comments, instead of having to keep them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the user name cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and modify this information.

What rights you have to your data

If you have an account on this website or have written comments, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including all data you have provided us with. Furthermore, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include the data that we have to store due to administrative, legal or security requirements.

Right of objection

If we process your personal data, as part of a balancing of interests on the basis of our overriding legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation, with effect for the future. If you make use of your right of objection, we will stop processing the data concerned. However, we reserve the right to further processing if we can prove compelling reasons for processing worthy of protection which outweigh your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. If your personal data is processed by us for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such marketing. You can exercise the objection as described above. If you make use of your right of objection, we will stop processing the data concerned for direct advertising purposes.

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal retention period (e.g. commercial and tax law retention periods). After expiry of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of the contract and/or we have no justified interest in further storage.
